The 22 years old Frenchman Ulysse Delsaux is part of the EuroNASCAR since 2014. In 2020 he will start in the EuroNASCAR Pro division as well as in the EuroNASCAR 2 division. In the EuroNASCAR Esports Series he is driving the #10 for the French team RDV Compétition. In Watkins Glen he achieved his best result so far.

At the season opener at  Brands Hatch Delsaux barely missed the Top 10. At Watkins Glen it seemed at first, as if he would not be able to improve. In the first heat he had to start from P7 and got a hit in the very first corner. “During the first heat someone hit me and after the first corner, I found myself at the end of the field. I calmed myself, so that I was able to gain some spots in the following laps and qualify myself for the main race”, the Frenchman said in an interview with Threewide.

The starting position with P22 for the main race was not the best, he found himself right in the middle of the field. There was anouther crash in the first two corners, but this time Delsaux managed to avoid contact. “In the main race I was able to avoid contact with the other cars and immediately concentrate on my driving skills. I gained some spots and was able to cross the finish line. I remarked that Alon Day was cathcing up, but I stayed focuses to not male any mistakes”, Delsaux continued. In the end he finished the race on P7. “I’m very satisfied with my race and my first Top 10-finish in the EuroNASCAR Esports Series.”

Like many of his colleagues, he just started Esports with the start of the ENES. “I’m happy that I’m able to participate in Esports. Until now I Hadn’t been a fan of it, but due to the corona-pandemic the EuroNASCAR started this series and I said to myself ‘Why not’.”

In the EuroNASCAR as well as in the ENES, Ulysse Delsaux is driving the car with the #10. His team RDV Compétition is known for really nice designs. This is also true for the season 2020. “The design represents my partner GCS, which is supporting me since 2018. I’m thankful, that they support me since we first met”, Delsaux said. “My real NASCAR has a golden front. I was inspired by the car Jim Clark was driving in the Tasman Series in the colors of the team Golden Leaf in the beginning of 1968.” Jim Clark is one of the idols of the young Frenchman.

The next round of the ENES will take place on May 19th, the broadcast will start at 8pm CEST on the various channels of the EuroNASCAR.
