From NASCAR Whelen Euro Series via PS4 to iRacing with the EuroNASCAR Esports Series in only two weeks.
After Round 1 in Brands Hatch we spoke with the 18 year old Naveh Talor from Israel. He made his first footsteps in kart and started in 2019 his rookie-season in motorport. He took place in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and needs to make another change now for his career.
His experience in virtual racing was little and except some fun races with his PS4 he can´t show some other expierences. Until the point the NWES founded and announced the new ENES 2 weeks ago. He neede to buy all hardware to start at iracing where he will participate with an new laptop.
Beside his experiences from his PS4 races which are most a kind of chrashparties he expects some fights with his real life opponents. And he see this as a practice for the upcomin NWES season. He likes the idea and the possibility to drive with all this drivers.
In the Brands Hatch qualifying he only took the 33th place. But in Heat 3 he was able to show his speed and took a 9th place and so his secure start position for the main race. He told us: “I need to improve my qualifying to be able to reach my potential in the race. I think this is a problem for me both on the sim and in real life to maximize my speed in qualification.”
In the main race he felt much better and told us that he never been focused this much for more than 30 minutes 😉 He knew that Brands Hatch is a short track and told us that there is no time for mistakes. Unlucky there was one at the end of the race where he lost 2 places and finished on 21st place almost in the Top 20.
His goal in the ENES will be to increase his skills to be more competetive and took his place in the Top 15 and later when he better know iracing he thinks a Top 10 finish is realistic.
For his 2020 season in the NWES he hopes to be more often in the Top 10 and increase his performance. He expects more from himself because he will not be a rookie anymore. He hopes to drive the full season.
About his last season in 2019 Talor told us: “2019 was a good season overall for my first season in cars and in Nascar although I ended with a lot of bad luck I see the improvement I had and I feel much more confident coming into the 2020 season.”
