At the season opener of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series at Valencia, the young Finnish driver Leevi Lintukanto will drive the #23 of Iceboys/DF1 Racing in the EuroNASCAR 2.
Lintukanto took part in the Summer Camp of the Drivers Recruitment Program of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 2020. For the season finals at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, he had the opportunity to drive the #10 for Not Only Motorsport. Due to technical problems, he wasn’t always able to show his true potential, but with 2 top10-results out of 4 races, he was quite satisfied. “We had some problems on Saturday, therefore my race wasn’t really good. We had to change the engine for the last races on Sunday and after that, it went better and I’m satisfied with my result”, Lintukanto said in an interview with Threewide.
Lintukanto is optimistic about his second race weekend in the EuroNASCAR. “As I already know the track from last season, I’m quite optimistic to have a good run. My goal is to find the right speed quickly and to have a good weekend without any crashes”, the Finn said.
He started his career at the age of 10 in karting. After winning multiple races and championships, he moved to car racing in 2019. In his first season in the Legends Cars NEZ, he immediately became third in the overall standings.
