Ander Vilarino, Kenko Miura and Zihara Esteban set for 2020 NWES debut with DF1 Racing

Three-time NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and DF1 Racing Tiger Ander Vilarinio will be back on track for the races at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. The Spaniard moved the 2020 fulltime season with the Austrian team to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but will be back on track for his home race at the 4.005-kilometer long track that will host the Super Speedweek to close the 2020 season.

At Automotodrom Grobnik, Alon Day tied Vilarino’s all-time record of 22 NWES career wins and Vilarino is eager to get back on top of the standings of the most winningest drivers in EuroNASCAR history. The three-time EuroNASCAR champion will drive the #48 Chevrolet Camaro of DF1 Racing – Stipp Motorsport, a car entered by DF1 Racing and Marko Stipp Motorsport that will be set up by the experienced mechanics and engineers of the Austrian powerhouse that won the 2019 EuroNASCAR 2 championship.

“I’m happy to be back at my hometrack for the finals. The start will give me a good forecast for the 2021 season with DF1 Racing”, said Vilarino. “I know I’ve been out the full season and all other drivers have their cars and the new spec tires on hand, but I love Valencia and I’m sure that we will find a good setup for the car that will help me in the 2021 season.”

In 2019, Vilarino won both races at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, so he will have a lot of confidence for his only start in the 2020 season.

After a strong run with Marko Stipp Motorsport in Grobnik, Francesco Garisto will compete in the EuroNASCAR 2 championship at the wheel of the #48 Camaro again and complete the car’s line up.

DF1 Racing is proud to have Kenko Miura back on the track for the first time in the 2020 season. The Japanese DF1 Racing Tiger will share the #99 Camaro with the well known NASCAR driver and DF1 racer Justin Kunz and compete in the EuroNASCAR 2 championship.

Miura was also sidelined for the full season due to the worldwide pandemic and will be back in the EuroNASCAR 2 at the wheel of the #99 car.

More great news for DF1 Racing: Local hero and former EuroNASCAR driver Zihara Esteban will share the #22 car with Nicolo Rocca and fight for glory in the Lady Trophy. The Spaniard already competed in EuroNASCAR in 2012 and 2013.

The final 8 races of the season will be broadcasted live on EuroNASCAR’s social media profiles from Friday to Sunday. DF1 Racing is still in contention for the EuroNASCAR PRO championship with Lasse Soerensen in second in the EuroNASCAR PRO championship. The whole team is looking forward to having its DF1 Tiger Ander Vilarino back on the grid.
