On tuesday it was officially announced that Arianna Casoli will continue with CAAL Racing in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 2020, driving once again the #54. Her goal is to defend the title in the Lady Trophy.

Last season, Arianna Casoli could not compete at the Raceway Venray, although it is one of the tracks she likes most. In the upcoming season she will compete in all of the 13 rounds, as she stated in her video for Threewide. Thanks to her sponsors and the title in the Lady Trophy, she has the budget for all races.

“I am really happy to be part of the CAAL family for the fifth consecutive season and to continue driving the #54. It is a car I grew very fond of along the years,” said Casoli. “I can’t wait for the season to start and I want to not only defend the Lady Trophy but also try to do better than last year’s third place against the Legend drivers. The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is great because it gives you opportunities to compete at all levels in a strong and numerous field.”

Casoli will have a new home NASCAR GP in 2020 thanks to the addition of the Autodromo di Vallelunga to the NWES calendar. The Italian is looking forward to compete in a NASCAR race at a track that has a special place in her career.

“I am excited to race at Vallelunga. It is a special track for me and I took part in my very first touring car race there. Then when I came back to racing in 2015 I started from the pole, again in touring cars, due to the inverted grid in my first wet race in 12 year,” concluded Casoli. “I can’t wait to get back in the car and get the season started.”

As she said in the video for Threewide, she has a surprise for her home round at Vallelunga. Any news on that will be published at the start of the season in Valencia on April 25-26.
